Mr. John Collins

Mr. John Collins is an 88 year-old elder of the island of Carriacou with a deep knowledge of Shakespeare and Shakespeare Mas.  As a teenager he participated as a player for several years in the village of Mt. Royal. Leaving the Grenadines as a young man, he lived for many years in London, England before returning in his later years to Carriacou.  Now he continues to read Shakespeare and share his knowledge of the plays, and of "playing mas."
